Atlaness is the debut EP by fiddler and composer, Vicky Gray. Originally from the Shetland Islands, she blends her traditional roots with contemporary approaches to record production. Vicky has toured extensively in the UK and Canada as a professional musician, performing at a host of major music festivals including Winnipeg Folk Festival, Glastonbury, and Heb Celt.
This, her first solo release, is partly a reworking of the tunes she learned from her late Grandfather, the notable tradition-bearer and fiddler, Gilbert (Gibby) Gray.
The EP received support from The Skinny, Scotland on Sunday and has seen her music playlisted on BBC Radio 6 Music.
